A hat in baby alpaca fur, from the Andean highlands. The weather there (hard wind, cold nights, sharp swings in temperature) shaped the fur this way: it holds heat but stays light and breathes. For a northern winter it fits exactly.
The fur is silky and fine. The hat doesn't scratch or itch, so sensitive skin copes with it too, and the low weight means it isn't wearing on you by evening. A dense but airy layer keeps wind and damp out without making your head sweat.
