Slippers

Alpaca slippers are the warmest footwear for home that does not make your feet sweat: baby alpaca fur slippers are lined and topped with dense, silky fur that traps air and warms without getting stuffy. Alpaca fur contains no lanolin and holds no odour, so the slippers also suit people whose woollen slippers itch or start to smell. Sizes 37 to 41, very light. Together with alpaca socks they handle the coldest floor; for the floor itself there is the alpaca hide. More on the fibre in our fibre guide.

Why choose alpaca slippers

A fur slipper warms two ways: the fur insulates and the hide blocks draughts. Alpaca fur is lighter and smoother than sheepskin, does not mat underfoot and stays fluffy. It never gets stuffy, because the fibre wicks moisture out. The slippers are meant for indoors and dry floors.

Where our slippers come from

Sewn in the Cusco region of Peru from baby alpaca hide that comes only from animals lost to natural causes. The same principle applies to all our fur products, read our story.

How to care for alpaca slippers

Do not wash. Shake, air, comb the fur with a wide-toothed comb. Dab stains with a damp cloth and mild soap. If wet, dry at room temperature, not on the radiator. Full guide in our care article.

Are alpaca slippers suitable for sweaty feet?

Yes, better than synthetic or sheepskin ones. Alpaca fur wicks moisture away and does not hold odour, because the fibre has no lanolin.

Which size should I choose?

Your usual size. The fur settles a little within a couple of weeks, so do not size up.
