On a baby alpaca hide the fur is dense, lofty and soft. It muffles footsteps and makes a room quieter.
The back is tanned by old methods: supple and durable, so the hide keeps its shape, doesn't crack easily and the fur stays put. The fibre traps air and warms naturally, so on a cold floor, beside a bed or over an armchair it is where it belongs.
There is no lanolin in alpaca fibre, which for many makes it the kinder choice on skin. Up to 100 × 65 cm suits a cot, a pram or a car seat, a favourite chair or a corner of a child's room.
The hides come from animals that are neither bred nor killed for the hide.
